# Sandbox

ImmiTranslate provides a sandbox for testing the API and checkout with test orders: nothing is charged, shipped or translated by our team. To open it, sign in to your ImmiTranslate account and choose **Open sandbox** under Settings, API keys. Your sandbox account is created the first time, and you're signed in to it automatically.

The sandbox is a separate system with its own data, so create an API key in the sandbox and call `https://sandbox-api.immitranslate.com/v1` with it. Production API keys and OAuth apps don't work in the sandbox. Questions: [developers@immitranslate.com](mailto:developers@immitranslate.com).
